I’m confused
And this is totally normal
Who wouldn’t be confused? Have you ever seen Presidents and Prime ministers saying something very important and then saying the exact opposite of it a few months later. Have you ever seen scientists saying one thing and some other the exact opposite? Not just that. If you put them in the same room they will fight like chickens on a fighting ring.
The whole situation is puzzling. The information we get is confusing. They keep changing.
One thing we observed is that most of you didn’t sink into the fear narrative and that is an excellent thing you should spend the time to celebrate. Do you know why it is good? It’s good because keeping some distance versus this fear feeling is allowing you to think rationally, to keep your common sense and this can help you tremendously.
The “where are my keys” story
Imagine for a moment that you are going out
You: “Where are my keys? I am pretty sure I left them on the table!”
And here we go. You feel confused. You remember dropping your keys on the table and they are not here.
What do you usually do in this case?
You can try to remember what you did yesterday and when was the last time you used them, you can look under the table, maybe they fell down, you can check your jacket’s pockets. A few minutes later you find out that they were hanging on the other side of the door. You forgot to take them in last night!
Think about it. At first you had this feeling of confusion. You were expecting something but it didn’t happen. The keys were supposed to be on the table and they weren’t. Did you panic because you did not see them on the table? No, you didn’t. Instead, you used common sense to try to find them. You started with remembering what you did yesterday and when was the last time you used your keys then you made an hypothesis that they could have fallen under the table so you checked under the table. Then you checked your jacket’s pockets.
Something you expect did not happen
The magician pushes the red tissue in her fist, count to 3, open his hand and nothing! The red tissue is gone.
A driverless car drives past you and you see no driver inside!
Something that you were expecting did not happen and you have that feeling of confusion. You were expecting to see that red tissue. You were expecting to see someone in the driver’s seat.
But what you do is that you pause for a bit and you use your common sense.
From what we observed, you are more or less confused about what is happening. You would expect a President or a Prime Minister to talk consistently and not promise something and say the opposite of it a few months later. You would expect scientists and experts to debate in a constructive manner. you would expect a doctor to talk about healthcare not a politician.
Identify the source of your confusion
It’s important that you understand what is happening in your head. Where is my confusion coming from?
If it is not clear try the following. Ask yourself a what if question. What if I saw someone in the driver seat. Would I still be confused? No you wouldn’t. It’s normal. This “what if” question helps you to understand what is getting you confused.
What would you expect and why it didn’t happen?
Say out loud what you were expecting. Feel free to talk to yourself. It is totally fine. Say it loud: “I was expecting the red tissue to appear out of his fist”. Then ask yourself why didn’t it happen?
When you call Mister “Why”, you are calling your reason, your common sense, your logical thinking. You could go ask the magician directly where her red tissue is. That is a great idea. She knows. But will she tell you? Maybe, maybe not.
Let’s sum up before moving on
My feeling of being confused comes from …
I was expecting … but this happened …
Why did the thing I expected (…) not happen?
(Please fill the dots with your own words)
3 simple sentences but very powerful. Please talk to yourself. Say them out loud. Why? Because this helps you to understand and accept the reason why you are confused.
The next step is to suggest you actions to get you out of your feeling of confusion.
The way out of confusion
First thing first. Let’s imagine “confusion” is a room. You are now aware that you are in this room. That’s great. Try to stay as little time as possible in this room because this room drains your energy and it can drain it fast. It’s hot here, it’s humid and there is so much noise. It’s uncomfortable. Get out quickly!
We point you to the exit sign. What do you do when you don’t feel good in a room? You get out. Exactly!!! You get out of it. So. Why wouldn’t you do this now?
The idea is to directly join the People in the other room. You walk to the exit door, you open this door and you get to the other room. Done! What do you find on the other side? You find People who are not confused. Have they always been not confused? Certainly not. Many used to be like you but they also walked to the exit door. They are now clear about what they want and they seem pretty happy about it. Many of them understand what is really happening, they do not want to live under a constant feeling of fear, these are People who have positive energy. A good place to find these People are freedom rallies for instance. Changing your context is the fastest way to get out of your confusion. By changing your context (not staying in the confused room) you will change your mindset. We suggest you talk to these People especially if they have a similar profile as you (for example: a mum with her kid, an army veteran, ... They will listen to your story. It’s important you be true to yourself. All you need is a bit of courage to go find these People who aren’t confused.
There is another option. This option is to slowly walk your way to the other room through clearing out your confusion. You can do it by yourself and with the help of other People who are also confused. They can be confused about the same thing as you or about other things. We all have a unique perspective on what is happening. We do not recommend this approach if you are low on energy. If you feel low on energy, get out of the room by using the approach we talked about above.
To help you, here are a few questions to ask yourself in order to clear your confusion:
They are ordering us to do this? Would I force someone to do this? Why are they forcing People to do this?
Why do mainstream media constantly talk about negative things? Is there any media not talking about fear? Where are they? Can I listen to their point of view?
Why is she saying this? Is it really her talking or is she saying this because she is coerced / financed to say this?
Is he doing what he is saying he is doing (or will do)? Who does he really report to?
