• Villify the police forces. This creates tensions between police forces and citizens. These tensions impact police forces’ ability to protect citizens and impact citizens’ perception of police forces.

• Defund police forces. If police forces have less fund, they cannot ensure you have the same level of protection, especially in a context where demand of protection increases.

• Try to remove firearms.

Here are potential signals that your "protection" leverage is decreasing:

• You feel less safe than before.

• You no longer have the right to have a firearm (you didn’t break any law).

How to regain leverage around your protection

• Join a community of like minded People. If there is none to join, can you take the initiative to create a community? Community offer a feeling of safety & protection. You are among People you can trust. If something bad happen, you should be able to rely on other People who are part of this community. Usually they will naturally help you.

• Oppose any legislation to remove firearms. In this battle, firearm manufacturers have more leverage than citizens. It may be a strategy to support them.
